Kreative Koncepts Color Challege - You & Me

Hi everyone!

Well, I'm sad to say that this is my last Color Challenge with Kreative Koncepts. The time has gone by quickly and I thoroughly enjoyed working with the challenges that Zeneva made for us!

This color challenge was a unique one and I really enjoyed it! I had fun pulling out lots of my green supplies and working them into the page. And of course, making a dent in my stash always puts a smile on my face :)

I'm going to laugh everytime I see this page because green is not generally considered a romantic color and some of those green splatter marks even remind me (dare I say) of mold on a petri dish!! But you know what, I love this "days gone by" photo of me and my hubs at our friends' wedding and humor is always good ;)

It's a bold combo and I hope it challenges and inspires you!

I've had these Sassafras letter forever and finally I got to use them!

Glitter, ink, paint, rhinestones, washi tape....I threw them all in there...

There's a bit of the TCW Specimans stencil that I used.

So I bid farewell to Kreative Koncepts, thanks for having me on the team and best wishes to all the talented, wonderful ladies I worked with!

Scrap Friends Color Challenge #21 - "Momentary Truce"

Hi everyone,

There's a brand spankin' new color challenge up at Scrap Friends, No. 21 to be exact. Very cool colors I think so I hope you can play along!

Here's my page. I got my girls to stop fighting for a few moments and actually put their heads together to snap this photo.....sigh. You'd think that being almost 5 years apart, they'd get along a bit more amicably but noooooo. They seem to fight over everything. That's a part of sisterhood I suppose and they do have their moments of truce.

I used many strips of washi tape covered by gesso, stamps, paint and watercolors to make the background.

Now I hope you'll play along with Color Challenge #21 for a chance to be a guest designer or win some goodies!

Supplies:
Pink Paislee Color Wash "Shine"
Distress Paint in Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves
Claudine Hellmuth Studio "Nature" stamps
Market Street "Pretty Perfect Grid" stamp
Hampton Art stamp
Luminarte Twinkling H2O in Cedarwood
Dear Lizzy Frame
Studio Calico Wood Veneer
Studio Calico Opaque Gem
KI Memories Puffies flowers
Prima Alphabet stickers

Scrap Friends Color Challenge #20 - "Be Merry"

Hi everyone!

Well Scrap Friends' final Color Challenge for 2013 is here! It's a beautiful mix of traditional and modern colors don't you think?

For whatever reason, I don't often make Christmas layouts but I was totally inspired to do so with these colors (though of course your project doesn't have to be!)....

And pages do have a way of taking on a life of their own don't they? I made this background with the KG Christmas Trees font and cut it out on my new Cameo (YEAH!) to use as a stencil but it decided it preferred to take center stage ;)

So whether you are in sun or snow, I hope this holiday season is treating you and your family well. And I do hope you find some time to play along with this Color Challenge!

ScrapFriends Color Challenge "Memory Lane"

Hi everyone!

ScrapFriends has their latest color challenge up...#19 to be exact! It definitely reminds me of fall, cooler weather, warm soup...yum!

My take on the had more to do with warm weather and adventure but that's what I love about the versatility of color challenges :)

This is different from my usual style and I didn't really plan it this way but isn't that just how some pages go? I have always wanted to use a jar and try a negative cutout as a title so I'm happy for that :)

We took a trip to Korea a few years back and that's my mom having fun, pretending to ride a bike. She was reminiscing about the Korea she left back in the 1970's.

The Sodalicious paper was really just perfect for this. And thank you Yvonne Yam for the just right sequins!

Cut this out with my Silhouette...I've had this shape for so long, so glad to use it!
Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!!
