Project Catch Up

Hello everyone,

I haven't been updating my blog as much as I should so I thought I'd do a little catch up sharing here :)

First up is a layout for UmWowStudio. I had made this for the September sketch challenge.

Next is a mini book, again for UmWowStudio. I am not a mini book maker by nature but I wanted to challenge myself! Minis really are versatile. You can focus on one subject, one look or make each page entirely different and squeeze in all sorts of photos. I made a funny book about our visit to the Princess Juliana Airport on St. Martin...it's known for it's short runway and close proximity to an actual beach...planes get mighty close to people! Here's a few pages:

Happy Valentine's!

Hi everyone!

Happy Valentine's Day! I thought I'd share with you (OK, brag a little about) my daughter's Valentine's cards she made for her 1st grade class :)

We talked about doing some "abstract" painting with watercolors and this is what she did:

This is honest to goodness no help from me. I just talked to her about how she could splatter paint.

She made several sheets with different colored backgrounds and then I cut them out with my Silhouette and this is how they turned out:

Pretty cool huh?

I hope that infused a little Valentine's goodness into everyone's day!
