Magical Bubbles

Hi everyone!

Oh wow, this is the last official week of summer for us as my big girl returns to school next week! It went fast......

In the page that I'm sharing with you this week, I wanted to capture some of that summer magic. I love to watch my little ones play with bubbles...it's something so simple yet so endlessly entertaining. Actually, I think it's a little magical for them...colorful yet clear, everywhere at once and then gone, and if you are lucky you can "catch" one!

The UmWowStudio chippies were just perfect for this page. I covered the circles in colored tissue paper and metallic acrylic paint.

The butterfly got covered in Snow Tex medium and watercolors.

I hope this page gave you a little happy summer feel :)

Hi everyone!

It's been a whirlwind of busy-ness here with the school year coming to a rapid close (OMG second grade here we come!), family in town, and some trips coming up! So life has kept me too busy to get too much scrapping done but I did want to share with you my layout that I've got up at UmWowStudio!!

I really loved working with the UWS chippies to create a layout with a girlie/grungy feel. The butterflies and the triangles helped me to do just that!

Here's some close ups of the butterflies:

I covered them with gesso followed by Kroma crackle medium. Next I used mists and powders to emphasize the crackle.

I left the triangles raw (plus some black sprinkles)...love the natural brown color of this chipboard!

When I snapped this photo, I laughed because my daughter looked so paparazzi ready ;) hence the title of the page.....

Last Minute

Hi everyone,

Have you ever wanted to participate in an online challenge but the timing was never right or you didn't quite have what you needed, or the mojo wasn't quite there or whatever?? Well I'm squeezing the challenge in in the absolute last minute!!

CSI case #61 is about to end in a few hours but I really loved the colors and the evidence and really wanted to work on this but for whatever reasons I could not get to it until today, Sunday!! So here it is:

Oranges and grey? What a beautiful color scheme!

Anyway, I tried to do it some justice....

I got this awesome page tab from Blinks of Life. She has beautiful stuff
in her store. This cut file is FREE! The large heart was cut from my Silhouette
and the font is Efon (love dingbats!)

Prima chipboard, went to well with the color scheme!
